Midnight, church bell tolls
Shroud of fog arise
In the darkness of starless night
Beneath the gloomy skies
Chilly wind, nightly haze cloaks crosses
Marble tombstones, twined vines, clumps of moss
Scrubbed epitaphs, forgotten names, years of life
Lost in time from the dark past
Under boughs of crooked trees
Where shadows dwell
Necromantic mysteries
Are hidden beneath
Doty coffins under ground, in wet soil
Mortal remains laying silent, laying deep
Scattered bones, rotten flesh, crawling worms
Choked stench, smell of decay, odor of death
Dark are the shades
Of the Valley of Death
Black is the night
Hell awaits…
Between the trees
And crypts forgotten
No light of “god”
Hell awaits…
Body decomposition in the murky ground
Grave worms devour deformed remains
Walls of casket break apart under soil pressure
Grave collapses into void, falls to the pit
Dark is the future, no promise of paradise
Afterlife turned to everlasting doom
A path into nothingness, oblivion awaits
Beyond the cemetery gates
Midnight, church bell tolls

Above the old cemetery
Over rows of nameless graves

The desert, scorched and dead
No wind, sun burns red
White-hot rocks, sand and dust
Empty plain, domain of death
Amid nowhere grim towers stand
Necropolis of ancient race
Above the ruins they pierce the sky
Stone monoliths above the horizon
Towers of silence, monuments of doom
Burial ground by old-time beliefs
Cyсlopic structures beneath the sun
Maw of death yawns wide for flesh
Clap of wings echoes between the walls
Hungry flesh-eaters are gathered for feast
Spawn of the desert, creatures of night
Grim spectators of the eternal decay
Well full of bones gets one more soul
Falling into the pit of the dead
Exposed to wind, water and heat
Bones turn to dust and dissolve in the sand
Wind carries away their mortal ash
Scatters remains over far lands
Life turns to nihil, nothing remains
But towers of silence still stand
As above so below
Following the stench, deeper and deeper
Under the eternal towers I find necropolis
In the depths of the desert sands
Lies the city of the dead
The sanctuary…
